Pretty iPhone 5, pretty uneventful

Today's the day where I could sleep all day, (if only partying all night's an option), today I've also gotten my iPhone 5! Well, I wasn't really looking forward to receiving it. Would you get an iPhone 5 when you've an iPhone 4S? Pretty pointless to me. O well! I guess it is more sleek, longer, and lighter, so I guess I wouldn't mind! Other than that, uneventful was my day. Till next time!

It WAS National Day!

So yesterday was National Day, which's 45 minutes ago, and it went well! I awoke at 5:30 at first, used the loo, went back to bed, and had another good 5 hours of sleep! My dad was out for a walk in the hot sun while I took a nice cooling bath. We, my momma, daddeh an' I, went out for lunch at, I forgot where, OHOH! The Soup Restaurant, Chinese food, it was superb! The chicken was soo good!! Love it. Came home, reached home at say, it was 3, 4? Around there, took a supposed nap at 4:30pm and awoke later at 7! Haha! Pretty awesome to sleep that long :D

Anyway, referring to the blogpost title, it was really great. The fireworks that is, I had seen them at the National Day Parade (NDP) rehearsals. Here are some pictures above. I've got more, but I wanna sleep heh! Goodnight! Till next time!

Peace, Mark!

Whooo!!

Saw the movie, Red 2, it is sooo good! A bit like Die Hard, it does feature Bruce Willis, but it's so much better. It's an action-comedy, and unlike Die Hard, this movie does have a storyline, not just that Bruce Willis can't die. Bruce Willis, ironically, is a former CIA agent, just like Die Hard. He reunites his old CIA team, beat the baddies, there was a little twist in the plot but I won't spoil it for you, retrieved a destructive nuclear bomb, and they lived happily ever after. Hah. 'Course there's more. The show has it's funny bits, I'd rate the show 6/10.

Afterward, (oh yes I forgot to mention, spending family time today) the family, we had went to the Singapore Island Country Club, and we ate lunch and hit the gym! Now... I'll take a nap! See all of you! I'll write another blog post soon, possibly tomorrow!

Till then! Peace, Mark.

It's a ho~li~day for the day and tomorrow

And today's Hari Raya, don't ask me what sort of a holiday it is, I just know it is a holiday. Plus tomorrow is Singapore's National Day! Singapore's 48 this year, pretty fast if you ask me. I last remember Singapore's 45th birthday, 3 years back. So it's Hari Raya today, and National Day tomorrow. O well! All's good in the hood, it's a fine Thursday morning(:and I am looking forward to the day ahead. It is important to keep a positive outlook on life in general.

Two nights ago, I met up with Nat W and Ben C, it was good, we watched "the Wolverine"! Really enjoyed myself. Last night was dinner with my ol' cell group. It was good! We had steamboat; it was fantastic, I didn't get sick from the food :D Alright, so now I'm facing today, all seems good so far. Till next time!

Peace, Mark

New week!

It has been a new week since yesterday. By the way, I won't be updating my blog(s) everyday. At least this one'll be updated about once every week. Going back, crap, I've just forgotten what I was going to blog about...

Anyway, today I'll be sharing what I hope of this week, so let's begin! Later on today, I'll be going out with two of my church friends; Natalie W. and Ben C. We'll be watching "The Wolverine"! Whooo! I can't wait! I just know it's going to be fun.^^ What I hope of  this outing, is that we'll grow our friendship; I'm just an acquaintance of Ben, and I hope to be friends(: As for Natalie, I've already known her for quite awhile, same with Ben, and we've been talking via mobile phone texting. I hope that we'll be good friends! I ,for one, believe that men and women can just be friends.

After that outing, I'll be concentrating on composing my first ever song. It's piano based and I'm already halfway done! Piano + lyrics! It may be a fantasy, but I used to wish I was a rock star! Hahahah! Piano aside, I LOVE PLAYING THE DRUMS!! My favourite drummer is Yoshiki from X Japan. Old school haha! After my accident, my right hand was unusually stiff and rigid. I could hardly play my electronic drum kit at home! Everytime I tried, my right hand would be lagging behind in time, compared to my left. Now I still do practise, however, the progress is slow... But steady! Not that much obvious improvements but, there are improvements.

In conclusion, I hope to have a productive outing with Natalie and Ben. I hope that my composition will turn out well, and my piano skills be improved; though it is limited as of my brain injury from the car crash. And that's today's post! Till next time!

Peace, Mark

The week's coming to a close

So this is the end of the first week of August. I had seen the XX Live in concert, I made new awesome friends; this week has had been a great week! Can't say anything about tomorrow, 'cept that I know God'll make everything work out for my good. He has been good, and will always be the good God; He never changes His ways.

All I can do now is lookforward to the new week; new challenges; new events. New challenges can be a good thing; what won't break me, makes me stronger. If I was a Kelly Clarkson fan, I might've quoted her song "Stronger".

Now some Christians may be judgemental. Don't bother too much about them. I understand, I have a friend who was Christian, only that one day he was sick of being ostracized by both the community and some Church members. He had gotten tattoos all over, got into all sorts of trouble, didn't go to church. A lot of people had given up on Him. Nevertheless, he is a kind boy; he visited me when I was in hospital. Being quite the comic he is, he said to me, "Mark! Wake up! I still owe you two bucks!" Hahaha, love that dude. Now he has removed his tattoos, gotten back to church. He's getting better(:

Tonight, I'll be explaining my blog name; Try, try, try. Have faith in youself first, without faith, practically everything is impossible. The next level of faith, I feel, is to have faith in someone, higher up; who you believe is the ultimate being. In my case, the God I believe in and worship, is the Alpha and the Omega; the only God who created the universe. He rose me up from my coma which lasted 2 months. I can converse with Him anytime, anywhere, anyway. My mom told me of how she was crying to the Lord as of my accident. Despite shouting, being disrespectful, He answered my mom. She asked for me to walk; now I can walk. He's totally unpredictable. You're skeptical about what you're reading. Sure, I wasn't as strong a Christian as I am now. Just a few weeks back, I had broken out of my cycle of watching porn. I feel for everyone struggling, especially with that problem; I was stuck with it for 15 years. It may have taken time, but all worked out for my good in the end.

My prayer is that soon, if not one day, you'll hear of His name and have faith in Him, trusting, obeying, and talking with Him.

Peace, Mark

Yesterday has came and went

I made a new friend! Zi Wei(:

Oh man, the XX yesterday was SO GOOD! Took a few videos and pictures yesterday.

Now, today's leaving...

I had thoroughly enjoyed mtself at the XX concert today! The XX was SO good; the sound was awesome, the lightings were crazy, the ambience - superb. I have also made a couple of new friends. Especially one cute girl, but let's not get sidetracked! The XX had a playlist of songs from their first and second albums, and definitely playing their own classic songs. Priceless. At first my friend, Louis, was complaining that the concert was held in a lousy church building and other offensive comments. That was when I politely told him off. Feeling good and proud of myself that I stood up for my one-and-only-God. Now today has left; it's 12:07. Time for me to wash up, brush up, read God's word, then sleep. Goodnight!

God bless, may He let you sleep soundly/put you at peace,

Then today... IS HERE!!

Yayy! In an hour's time I'll be heading on down to Star Vista to meet up with an ol' pal with his friend (YaY! One new friend!), then we'll have dinner and then catch the XX live! Really excited^^ Like, wouldn't be! At first, the XX only had one show, then that show sold out! So they're having another one, which is happening TODAY!! Wheeeee!! The XX are one of a kind. These days you can hardly find bands like them. Right now, only two music artists come to mind when I think of this genre and style of playing it; Fiona Apple and the XX themselves. Right now, I'm going to exercise so that dinner doesn't turn to fats haha! Then I'll bathe, and set off at 5:30, "Sounds like a plan!" I'd say. Till next time! Toodles!
